I made my first ever Christmas cake two weeks ago, it is mainly marzipan with a sliver of fruit cake running through the middle
of it, keeping to tradition there is a coating of crispy lemon icing round the outside. The cake is not out on display, I'm afraid that people will laugh at it, so it’s hidden under foil
in my fridge - if you’d like some please say

ReplyDeleteI would like some please. Since fruitcake keeps for ages, it should still be tasty the next time I'm in Bristol!
It will be served with elderflower champagne
ReplyDelete" mainly marzipan with a sliver of fruit cake..."
ReplyDeleteYou could knock spots off La Nigella.
It's her recipe just different proportions Dinah
ReplyDeleteI still have yet to make a Christmas cake! Ack, I prefer Chocolate cake, so it can wait.
