Young, Dumb And Sponging Off Mum

I rely on other people to point me in the direction of telly that's worth watching, in view of the post I put up a few days ago I'll be watching Charlie Brooker's recommendation from behind the sofa.

  1. While reading Charlie's recommendation, I was distracted by this item in the sidebar. I'm in the Guardian Shop's demographic!

  2. It may become crowded behind the sofa. It reminds me of what I was like until I started in my own place at 24. Monumentally useless I was.

  3. Oh crikey... now I'll have to watch it too.
    I wasn't a useless teenager. If I didn't do housework/wash the car etc, then I wouldn't get pocket money.
    But now I'm very lazy!!!

  5. xl - is a multi-plug adaptor a must have item for Guardian-reading men then?

Mme Def - The mirror that reflects our own image - ouch!

Scarlet - don't you have a bevy of houseboys to do all that now?

Sav - usually they're my idea of hell too

  8. This Charlie Brooker chap seems to be everywhere these days. Talking about telly that's worth watching, a few days ago I spent an entire evening glued to an omnibus screening of Animal Planet's "World's Stickiest Animals". Recommended.

  9. MJ and xl - I think you need to go off and find Mr Knudsen.

Gadj - World's Stickiest Animals - sounds fab and totally my kind of thing.

  10. I think I'll be watching this one from behind the couch, too, if it ever makes it to Australia. I know far too many people my age (24, eep!) who could easily take the places of the morons on this show. Perhaps you should encourage the poor boy to try out for the next season? At least it would make for some interesting viewing.

  11. I watched this last night.
Where were the lazy middle class kids?
It was awful. I don't know if I can watch it again.

  12. Ms Teacup and Scarlet,

I rely too heavily on my iplayer so I haven't seen it yet. I'm still bracing myself for it (fat from drain removal being more than enough horror for one day). My stepson would be the lazy middle class one.
I feel I ought to watch at least one episode.
